Hattrick Free Online Game

August 1st, 2005

You wake up early Sunday morning, and you immediatly go to your PC. The big match that you’ve been waiting for has finally come. You’ve been preparing the whole season, just to have it finally come to this. The game which will decide if you going end up first in your series or not - You really want to win the series and get that promotion (Not to mention the money)

You log in, and the game is already gone for 80 minutes - O boy, the scoreline is even 1 all. Suddenly, one of your forward makes a move towards the goal, it’s looking good, but he misses. Oh No !!! only 5 minutes left. You start pacing, this can’t be happening - this was supposed to be a sure win. And then out of the blue, you get the ball again, and your midfielder rushes to the goal, past the defence and he shoots….. It’s in…. 2-1… You made it. The Prep work has paid off… You’re going to be promoted.

This is the type of excitement that happens pretty often in Hattrick, which is a free online Football (Soccer) Management game, that allows you to manage a Football Team.

Once every week you play in the League, always trying to outsmart your opponents, and effectively win your league and be promoted to the next league - And to boot, there’s a very strong community going as well, and a lot of fun to be had.

With 600 000+ users playing world wide, there’s almost never a dull moment… If you’re not planning on how to get to nr.1 there’s always somebody to chat to in the forums.

But, this game is not for every one. It’s a long term game, and you have to make long term plans to get to the top, and improve your team. So, if you like bashing monsters over the head, or something with a bit more action then Hattrick is not for you.

If you really are more into strategy, and trying to best other people, then Hattrick might be just the game for you. So come join us online by going to www.Hattrick.org to access the wonderful world of Hattrick - a free online game.

(Please Note: You will be taken to Hattrick’s site, where you need to click on join, to join the game)

I did mention, it’s free, didn’t I. And you only have to really connect 2 or 3 times a week.

Hope to see you there….

South-Africa blew it in Hattrick World Cup

August 5th, 2005

South Africa only managed a tie against France in the Hattrick Online Game World Cup qualifier this weekend.

It really looked as if they stood a major chance of actually winning it, but France was able to capitilize on a mistake in the 73rd minute, which allowed Sylvain Wahl to score 1 - 2 for France .

After that it was nail biting to the end, where South Africa was finally able to equalize after 86 minutes of play by Deion Pollard.

The scorers for the game were:
1-0 Scottie Dean(SA) (3)
1-1 Alain Guillon(France) (14)
1-2 Sylvain Wahl(France) (73)
2-2 Deion Pollard(SA) (86)

Maybe next time.

Why stars are evil.

February 26th, 2006

These evil little things can sometimes make the game pretty confusing, and you’ll often compare two teams by looking at their star ratings, and be baffled at why you lost against them ’cause you had more stars.

But, there are other things that need to be looked at as well… and this can be read about in Anvir’s column: Anvir wrote a great article on the Star Ratings of players in Hattick: http://htbdf.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=10563
